Thomas G. Peterson
Founder
Thomas Peterson, President of TNT Fire Protection Inc. Started his own pipe fitting career working as a B-Class Petroleum pipe fitter installing vapor recovery systems in gas stations.
He started in the fire sprinkler industry at Gavin Fire Protection in 1982 in their fabrication shop. He was transferred to the field as a helper/apprentice.
In 1984 he was hired by Bolls Fire Protection as a fitter/apprentice where he worked before being hired by Stop-Fire where he was placed in the Service Department handling day work, tenant improvements and emergency calls.
In 1987 Tom became an Area Superintendent scheduling work crews, handling material orders and customer service.
In 1992 Tom joined South Bay Fire Protection where he completed many large and difficult projects such as retrofitting airplane hangars at the Alameda Naval Base, retrofitting of high rise buildings in San Francisco and tenant improvements in the Federal Building in Oakland.
In 1997 Tom became a partner in a start-up company by the name of Aegis Fire Systems Technology.
Tom and his partner operated and managed the company and by 2007 had effectively advanced the
company from four employees to over one hundred & twenty employees.
As active Vice President of Construction, Tom was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the field from inspections to tenant improvements, from custom homes & multi-dwellings to high rises.
Aegis Fire Systems Technology was sold to American Fire Protection Group in 2007 at which time Tom moved forward with establishing TNT Fire Protection, Inc. which acquired a business license and opened its doors for business in 2009.
